Americans immediately realized the benefit of using a gentle, homeopathic eye drop and the Similasan Corporation story began.

Where it all started
Similasan AG in Jonen, Switzerland was founded by Swiss druggist Armin Spaeni from a line of combination homeopathic remedies that he created for his retail store. After realizing the success that his remedies had in treating his patients’ ailments, Spaeni, along with two friends, founded Similasan AG in Jonen, Switzerland in 1980 to enable them to manufacture larger quantities of remedies for their rapidly growing customer base. Similasan quickly became one of the best selling brands in Swiss drugstores. where it remains as a top seller of over- the- counter remedies.

After earning his Bachelor's degree from The University of South Dakota, Dan Quail began his career in the Consumer Package Goods industry, over 30 years ago. Dan has a great depth of sales and marketing experience, recently overseeing billion-dollar operations and managing national territories that included hundreds of retail sales representatives. Prior to his current role, Dan was Division President in the Colorado Market for Advantage Sales & Marketing, a major national food brokerage firm based in Southern California. Dan then joined Similasan Corporation in Spring of 2004. After instilling cohesive brand integration and taking on the day to day operations of the U.S. market, Dan was promoted to Vice President, and assumed responsibility for all of Similasan's North American business ventures in July of 2012.

Andreas Dehmel joined Similasan in September 2014. After an introduction phase as Senior Controller at the Similasan Head Office he has been transferred to the USA site. Previously he was working for VIA MAT Group as Division Controller implementing corporate accounting systems in Chile, USA, Germany and Switzerland. While fulfilling this task he was stationed for almost one year in Santiago de Chile. Later on he joined DHL Freight (Division of DP/DHL) as Terminal-/Area Controller developing controlling tools for Terminal-/Area Controlling, Net Working Capital Management, and moderate process improvement workshops after he succeed as green belt advisor in SixSigma/Lean Management. Andreas has a bachelor degree in Accounting/Controlling & Marketing from the University of Applied Sciences and an Executive MBA in Controlling & Consulting. He is a member of the board of a regional skiing association as head of finance. His hobbies are skiing, tennis and jogging. He is now living in Highlands Ranch, CO.

Carlo Odermatt is a renowned Swiss homeopath and chemist with more than 30 years of hands-on experience in homeopathy. After moving to Kriens, Switzerland, in 1983, Odermatt became co-owner of the Natur-Drogerie Späni, which later became a pilot drugstore for product development and trials for Similasan. Odermatt joined Similasan AG in Switzerland in 1987 as a shareholder and trainer. With Similasan, Odermatt is responsible for the formulation and development of new products, and he continues to apply his vast homeopathic knowledge within his own pharmacy.
Director of Regulatory Affairs & Quality Assurance, Similasan USA
Kimberly Stark is the Director of Quality and Regulatory Affairs for Similasan USA. Prior to joining Similasan USA, Kimberly had served as a Global Director of Quality and Regulatory Affairs for a medical device company. She managed the quality and regulatory departments for three full manufacturing sites located both inside and outside the United States. She has over 20 years in global quality and regulatory affairs specializing in pharmaceutical, IVDD, medical devices and biologics. During her 25-year career span, Kimberly has gained experience in global government interaction, global regulations and global product submissions. Kimberly Stark holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Chemistry and a Bachelor’s of Science degree Criminology.

Yann Pigeaire joined the Similasan USA team in March 2014. Prior to joining, he was a senior brand manager at Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products in New Jersey. In his 14 year tenure with J&J, Yann has worked on such well-known brands as Aveeno®, Johnson’ Baby®, Reach®, or Stayfree®, growing brands in both line-marketing as well as innovation and global franchise roles. Yann also has field sales experience, calling on Wal-Mart headquarters in Bentonville for two years. Prior to joining J&J, he spent two years in west Africa in the shipping and logistics business.
Yann has a bachelor’s degree in management for the University of Paris IX as well as a masters in international commerce from the University of Paris II. Originally from Paris, he now lives in Denver with his wife and two children.
